The Lay Off

Welp, it finally happened. I got laid off. While sitting at home and reflecting on my journey, I decided that I needed to create something to document my thoughts, my road, and maybe figure out where I wanted to go now that the road ahead has dropped away. It's happened a few times before, but this time felt different, more profound. I like to think that this whole website endeavor is a rough draft, and that it's okay to have a rough draft in life - which leads me to think about how much my life has been serially submitting a rough draft to the universe.

I’ve been trying to embrace each setback as a stepping stone, an opportunity for growth and change. Maybe this is a new chapter where I can channel my thoughts into words of inspiration for myself and anyone who reads this. Through this process, I hope to lay bare the complexities of my emotions and experiences, turning what could easily be a moment of despair into a journey of discovery and resilience. Consider this as me pulling up to your driveway, throwing open the door with a smile and asking you -
